Meet Crazy Fish. A little wild, very Italian and definitely not made to disappear quietly on a white tablecloth.
This 25 cm pasta plate is a true STUDiO RiViERA Unique Piece, painted entirely by hand in our ceramic workshop in Puglia. At its centre: our Crazy Fish, surrounded by bold colour and the free, slightly psychedelic brushwork we love.
The shape is one of our favourites. A flat centre with a wide, raised rim that frames a plate of pasta almost like a picture. We use it for spaghetti alle vongole, a beautiful risotto, seafood, antipasti – or simply leave it on the table because it is far too good to hide in a cupboard.
Made from Tuscan clay, shaped and finished by hand in southern Italy. The ceramic passes through several firings at temperatures above 1000°C before the final hand-painted decoration brings it to life.
There is only one Crazy Fish exactly like this one.
Mix it. Don’t match it. Add stripes, splashes, Viso, more fish. That is how we like a STUDiO RiViERA table best.

This is Nicola Fasano within his charming atelier in Bella Italia hand-painting one of our plates. All the unique patterns and joyful artworks of our pieces are exclusively created for STUDiO RiViERA.

Die Keramikkunst von Studio Riviera wirkt wie vom römischen Meeresgott Neptun persönlich auf die mediterrane Dinnertafel gespült - obwohl sie eigentlich aus Oberbayern kommt. Zum Leben erweckt werden die illustrierten Gottheiten auf Ausschau nach dem Fang des Tages allerdings in einem kleinen Atelier in Süditalien.
