With its generous 52 × 36 cm size and expressive hand-painted design, this extraordinary oval platter sits somewhere between serving piece and ceramic art. Place it in the middle of a long table, on a kitchen island or simply leave it on a sideboard. It has enough presence all on its own.

A Real Piece of Italian Ceramic Art
Every STUDiO RiViERA piece starts with clay and a pair of hands.
Our ceramics are made in Southern Italy using traditional techniques passed down through generations of ceramicists. The clay comes from Tuscany and each piece is shaped by hand before slowly drying under the Italian sun.
Then the transformation begins. The ceramic goes through several stages of glazing, hand painting and firing at temperatures of over 1000°C. Finally, our ceramic artist brings the piece to life with expressive brushstrokes and color.
At this scale, the traces of handcraft become even more visible. Tiny irregularities in shape, glaze and painting are part of the piece. No industrial perfection. No second one waiting on a shelf.
This exact platter exists only once.
Made for the Table. Beautiful Enough to Stay There.
Despite its almost sculptural presence, this platter is made to be used.
The high-temperature firing creates a durable glazed surface suitable for everyday life. It is dishwasher safe, although due to its exceptional size we recommend checking that it fits safely inside your dishwasher.
Use it for food. Fill it with lemons. Let it sit empty and enjoy the painting.

Zum Leben erweckt werden die illustrierten Gottheiten auf Ausschau nach dem Fang des Tages allerdings in einem kleinen Atelier in Süditalien.
