At an impressive 52 cm in diameter, this extraordinary handmade ceramic bowl sits somewhere between tableware and art.
Place it in the center of a large dining table, fill it with lemons, summer fruits or a generous salad. Leave it completely empty on a kitchen island or sideboard and let the hand-painted design speak for itself.
And there is another way to display it: the bowl has a hanging fixture on the back, allowing it to be mounted on the wall like a ceramic artwork. From serving bowl to wall piece in one move.
This exact bowl exists only once in the world.
Our ceramicists shape each piece by hand in Southern Italy using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The generous dimensions make the handmade character especially visible. The bowl may wobble slightly when placed on a completely flat surface. We love this little imperfection: it is a natural result of forming and firing such a large piece by hand, rather than producing it industrially from a mould.
The clay comes from Tuscany. After shaping, the bowl dries slowly before going through several stages of glazing, hand painting and firing at temperatures of over 1000°C. The result is a piece with its own small irregularities, brushstrokes and character.
With its scale and expressive pattern, this is more than a serving bowl. It is a piece of Italian ceramic craftsmanship made to be seen – on the table or on the wall.

Die Keramikkunst von Studio Riviera wirkt wie vom römischen Meeresgott Neptun persönlich auf die mediterrane Dinnertafel gespült - obwohl sie eigentlich aus Oberbayern kommt. Zum Leben erweckt werden die illustrierten Gottheiten auf Ausschau nach dem Fang des Tages allerdings in einem kleinen Atelier in Süditalien.
