This extraordinary raised serving plate with foot is one of the most sculptural pieces in the STUDiO RiViERA collection. With its elegant pedestal base and wide elevated rim, it beautifully combines the function of a plate with the presence of a centerpiece.
The shape makes it perfect for presenting food in a special way. Use it for a beautiful cheese selection, antipasti, fruit, pastries, breakfast spreads or small dishes to share. The raised design naturally draws attention to what is served on it and creates a stunning presentation on any table.
Beyond its function as tableware, this piece also works beautifully as a decorative object for your kitchen island, dining table or sideboard.
Each piece of our collection is a true one of a kind. Handmade according to traditional pottery craftsmanship in a charming ceramic studio in southern Italy, every piece is individually shaped on the wheel, glazed and hand painted by our ceramic artist. No two pieces are ever the same. This exact design exists only once in the world.
Our ceramics are made from high quality clay sourced from a small village in Tuscany. After being shaped on the potter’s wheel, each piece dries for several days under the Italian sun before entering the kiln.
After first being kissed by the Italian sun, the piece undergoes an initial firing process of 36 hours at over 1000°C. The base glaze is then applied by hand and the piece is fired again for 36 hours at around 1000°C. Finally, the decorative pattern is carefully hand painted and the piece undergoes a third firing process. These traditional techniques give STUDiO RiViERA ceramics their exceptional durability, vibrant colors and unmistakable character.
The diverse patterns can be perfectly combined to create an individual STUDiO RiViERA Signature Table.
