Buongiorno, Il Gallo!
A jug shaped like a rooster? Si, certo.
Il Gallo is one of those pieces that makes you look twice. The bold blue rooster, bright red comb and orange beak are painted entirely by hand. Every brushstroke is a little different. No two Gallos will ever look exactly alike.
With a generous 1.5 litre capacity, he is more than just a handsome fellow on the table. Fill him with water, vino or homemade limonata. And when there is nothing to pour? Add a bunch of wild flowers and Il Gallo happily turns into a vase.
Each jug is handmade in a traditional ceramic workshop in Southern Italy, where our ceramists shape and paint every piece individually using techniques passed down through generations.
A little Italian. A little eccentric. And definitely not the kind of jug that wants to hide in a cupboard.

Die Keramikkunst von Studio Riviera wirkt wie vom römischen Meeresgott Neptun persönlich auf die mediterrane Dinnertafel gespült - obwohl sie eigentlich aus Oberbayern kommt. Zum Leben erweckt werden die illustrierten Gottheiten auf Ausschau nach dem Fang des Tages allerdings in einem kleinen Atelier in Süditalien.
