The Grand Hotel Riviera Mix brings together six hand-painted Dinner Plates from our Psychodelic Collection. Every plate has its own artwork while the shape stays the same. They belong together, just without looking too perfectly matched.
At 27 cm, our Dinner Plate is the one for almost everything. Pasta, fish, vegetables, long lunches outside or dinner with a full table of friends. It has become one of the classics in our collection – and one of those plates we reach for again and again at home.
Every piece is handmade in a traditional ceramic workshop in Southern Italy. The ceramists shape each plate individually, leave it to dry under the Italian sun and fire it several times at temperatures above 1000°C. The Psychodelic artwork is then painted entirely by hand.
We use clay from a small village in Tuscany. From shaping the plate to its final firing, every piece passes through many individual steps. It takes time. That's part of it.
Grand Hotel Riviera comes as a ready-made set of six. And if you want to make the table even wilder later, mix the plates with Schizzato, Viso, Crazy Fishes or other STUDiO RiViERA designs.
There is no wrong way to mix.

Handmade never means six times exactly the same. Slight variations in colour, brushwork, glaze and shape are part of the process and make every plate an individual piece.

This is Nicola Fasano within his charming atelier in Bella Italia hand-painting one of our plates. All the unique patterns and joyful artworks of our pieces are exclusively created for STUDiO RiViERA.

Die Keramikkunst von Studio Riviera wirkt wie vom römischen Meeresgott Neptun persönlich auf die mediterrane Dinnertafel gespült - obwohl sie eigentlich aus Oberbayern kommt. Zum Leben erweckt werden die illustrierten Gottheiten auf Ausschau nach dem Fang des Tages allerdings in einem kleinen Atelier in Süditalien.
