We’re incredibly happy to be featured in the new cookbook “Lasagne, Moussaka and Co. – Happiness in Layers” by Ilse Fischer. Together with photographer Ingolf Hatz, beautiful imagery was created that captures this feeling perfectly — warm, vibrant, Mediterranean and full of joy.

The book explores layered dishes from across Europe. Alongside the classic Lasagne from Emilia-Romagna, readers will discover regional favourites such as Vincisgrassi from Le Marche, Greek Moussaka, Alsatian Baeckeoffe and Tartiflette from the French Alps. A culinary journey through traditions, family recipes and comforting dishes that all share one thing: bringing people together around the table.

For us, it was especially exciting to see how naturally our ceramics became part of this visual world. Bold colours, hand-painted patterns and organic shapes meet rich dishes, melted cheese, fresh herbs and beautifully layered tablescapes. This is exactly what Studio Riviera is about — creating pieces made for real moments, not just decoration.

Ingolf Hatz’s photography gives the book a unique atmosphere: modern yet warm, elegant yet relaxed. Our handcrafted ceramics from Southern Italy become part of scenes that feel like long Italian summer dinners — effortless, lively and full of character.
